JA Suntory Global Spirits is proud to support the FT Nikkei UK Ekiden. Suntory has deep roots in the UK, dating back 125 years when Shinjiro Torii was inspired by the craftsmanship of Scotch whisky. Today, we produce some of the most respected spirits brands from both Japan and the UK, from Yamazaki and Hibiki, to Laphroaig, Bowmore and Sipsmith. Our involvement in the UK Ekiden race is the perfect partnership to celebrate Japanese culture right here in the UK.
Ekiden is a part of Japanese culture that resonates deeply with our Suntory Global Spirits UK team. We launched our first fully owned UK commercial business earlier this year, so the Ekiden is a chance for our new team to celebrate the teamwork and collaboration that defines our Suntory Spirit, which in turn guides how we work with each other and our customers every day.
